Dear Classmates:

Li-Ping was gracious enough to coordinate the Yellowstone trip by using his friend Sha-Sha who works as a travel agent in Chicago. 

The attached is the latest info of the pre-planned trip by the travel agent.  It starts at Salt Lake City on July 25 (Wednesday) and will end either on July 29 (5 days trip) at Denver or July 31 at Salt Lake City (7 days trip).  The cost is very reasonable at $508/person double occupancy for the 7 days trip. A third person in the same room is almost free of charge.

The trip looks really exciting with stops to many very scenic parks including and surrounding Yellowstone National Park.  Li-Ping is also proposing a stop to the Rocky Mountain Oilfield Testing Center (http://www.rmotc.doe.gov/) at Wyoming if there is enough interest. 

The advantage of using the pre-planned trip is that we can really enjoy the trip without having to worry about logistics like renting cars, moving luggage, finding hotels, etc..   The tour bus can take 56 people and Li-Ping has reserved the entire bus to us as first priority.  To reserve the trip, please call Sha Sha at 312-326-3800 ext 102.

There will be an additional fee of 3% credit card charges.  We’d like to encourage everyone making the reservation this week to secure the spots.  We’ll make the extra spots available to other NTU Geology friends later.   Please let Li-Ping and I know if you need additional information.
